Body composition analysis
Have you ever worked diligently at losing weight, only to jump on the scales to find that you weigh more than the week before? You wonder if you've gained excess fluid or built some muscle, but you're just not sure....
Our Body Composition Analysis machines take accurate measurements of your body fat, muscle mass and fluid retention, so that you can assess your real progress and your dietitian can accurately calculate your nutritional requirements.
How does it work?
The InBody 230 uses bioimpedance technology and direct segmental measurement to provide you with a detailed and accurate body composition analysis. It works by running a low level multifrequency current through the body’s cells to determine the tissue that they are made from (eg. fat, muscle, water etc).
The InBody 230 is the most accurate bioimpedance body composition analyser available on the market, and is used by a wide variety of universities and research institutions. It is approved by the FDA and provides accurate body composition results without the radiation of a DEXA scan (InBody has a high correlation coefficient of 0.974 compared to DEXA’s 0.98).
